Music, romance, agriculture, the Heady Farmer and poems. These are a few themes that are addressed in the museum. They connect the time in which Staring lived with the present. For example, the ideas he had about how the land could be better cultivated and inhabited were of great importance. And the tea house on the river Berkel, built by order of daughter Constantia, has been a favourite destination for walkers and cyclists since its restoration in 2004.
